Ski Trip – 3/28 to 4/4

Cora and Henry went on a ski trip to Breckenridge, Colorado over spring break.  They went with Granny, Granddaddy, and their cousins, Patrick and Collin.  All four of the kids got to learn ski techniques at ski school.  Michael and I met Aunt Nancy (Patrick and Collin's Mom.) in Rolla, MO to drop the kids off.  Then they traveled to Chicago, IL to pick up Patrick and Collin.  A few days later they boarded an airplane in Chicago and flew to Denver, CO.  Then they made the journey up to Breckenridge.  They stayed at the Thunder Mountain Lodge (the same resort we stayed at a few years ago for T.J.’s wedding).  They enjoyed four days of ski lessons.

Here's a pic of the gang at the resort.

Henry all bundled up in his ski gear, hitting the slopes.

While the older kids enjoyed their ski time, Mommy and Daddy got to enjoy our little boys, George and Liam.  We rediscovered how hard it is to have a newborn baby and a three year old.  We much prefer the older kids being around to help out.  It is hard work to have kids under five years old.  The nice part of the week was not having to run all over town.  George, Mommy, and Liam got to chill out at home all week.  I think we actually had a few days that we didn’t leave the house at all!

When Cora and Henry made it home, they said that they said that one of their favorite parts of ski school was the Riparoo Forest, the haunted ski slope.  They had a great time.
